Yvonne Evans was watching television when her neighbours say they heard two cars racing in the street outside.
It was 10pm on Saturday and moments later a car failed to take the Peakes/Springvale Rd corner and ploughed into her house.
Driven by a teenage girl, the car mounted the footpath, took out the Evans' letterbox and part of the hedge, and slammed into the bathroom wall, which shunted the spa bath into the hand basin.
As the vehicle spun, it scattered patio furniture out of the way and smashed through a glass sliding door into the dining room.
"I saw the lights and thought it was my son, and then there was a strange noise," a shocked Ms Evans said yesterday.
The next moment, she saw the left-hand side of the car smash through the glass door.
Mrs Evans said her heart was pounding as she watched a teenage girl get out of the car.
In a short time her front lawn was teeming with teenagers, she said.
