The first thing one notices when walking into Bare Bones
Furniture on Sagamore Street in Glens Falls is the shear size and
variety of the multiple showrooms. The second thing one notices is
its staff, and the easy yet eager way they ensure every customer is
being helped.
"You always have to take care of customer first," said owner
Steven Quirion when complimented on his staff. "That's one of my
pet peeves, and everyone on my staff knows it. It's a big reason
why we've been so successful."
Quirion, a long-time businessman and Queensbury resident, began
Bare Bones 10 years ago in a 10,000 square-foot facility.
10 years later, he's expanded the thriving business to a 40,000
square-foot showroom, 30,000 square-foot ware-house, staff of 30,
and over $1 million in inventory.
He attributes his success to attentive sales associates, repeat
business, and providing the very best prices.
Quirion said he came out of retirement to start the business,
"and I knew then that I wanted to be the people to beat," he
said.
